I build fast, accessible product interfaces in React and Next.js.

Frontend-focused full stack developer. I ship typed, component-driven UIs and the APIs and cloud infrastructure behind them.
Frontend developer with full stack range.
I'm Abeera Umair, a frontend developer working primarily in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. I build component-driven interfaces with typed data contracts, accessible markup, and state that stays predictable as a product grows.
As cofounder at Wewise Labs, I've taken products from specification to production — building the frontend, wiring it to REST APIs with JWT and OAuth authentication, and working on Docker and GitHub Actions pipelines for AWS deployment. That range means I design UI against real API constraints instead of guessing at them.
I work with AI-assisted tooling — Claude Code and GitHub Copilot — inside a spec-driven workflow, which keeps the architecture deliberate rather than accumulated.

Selected work
Production frontends built with Next.js and TypeScript — starting with Wise Manager, the product I've contributed to since day one.

Wise Manager
Full stack project management platform I've contributed to since its inception, built with Specification-Led Construction (SLC). I build the responsive dashboards, authentication flows, and task management interfaces in Next.js and TypeScript, integrate them with REST APIs secured by JWT and OAuth, and collaborate on the FastAPI services and AWS deployment behind them.

Wewise Labs
The public site for the company I cofounded, showcasing our AI SaaS and web development services. I designed and built the frontend in Next.js and TypeScript around a reusable component library and responsive layouts — it's our primary channel for inbound client enquiries.

Abeera Studio
Ecommerce storefront for an ethnic clothing brand. I developed the responsive shopping experience — product browsing, shopping cart, and checkout interfaces — in Next.js and React, with Sanity CMS so the catalog stays editable without a redeploy.

Coloriqo
An AI-powered tool that extracts color palettes from uploaded images. I developed the responsive frontend — the upload flow, palette results, and interaction states — in React and Next.js, focusing on accessibility on a product where color carries the meaning.

Techverse51
Educational platform for aspiring developers, where I also lead QA and lecture. I built responsive, accessible interfaces for the learning and community areas in Next.js and TypeScript, working with the team to keep usability and performance consistent as content grew.

Personal Portfolio
This site is my own portfolio, designed and built from scratch in Next.js and TypeScript. A component driven layout, filterable project cards, and an accessible, responsive structure across every section.
My journey
From Copilot Studio builds and QA testing to owning product frontends.
Wewise Labs
Full-time · Remote
Cofounded Wewise Labs and build modern web applications with a strong focus on responsive frontend architecture in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. I've contributed to Wise Manager since its inception — from specification and architecture discussions through implementation, authentication, and API integration.
- Develop responsive frontend architecture in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Collaborate on product planning, feature implementation, and technical decision-making
- Design clean, accessible, performant interfaces optimized for desktop and mobile
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, keeping code reusable and maintainable
- Contribute to deployment workflows using GitHub, Docker, and GitHub Actions CI/CD
Techverse51

Joined as a student in April 2024, taught frontend development through late 2024, and moved into QA in January 2025 when the team began building their Learning Management System. I validate the LMS backend against functional requirements before release.
- Test the LMS backend by validating REST APIs with Swagger (OpenAPI) and Postman
- Cover authentication, request/response validation, error handling, and business logic
- Identify, document, and report defects, working with developers to verify fixes
- Run regression testing so new changes don't break existing functionality
- Delivered frontend development lectures from August to December 2024
Microsoft Copilot Studio
Freelance · Remote
Started at Microsoft Build in May 2024 and spent the following months in Copilot Studio training and hands-on builds — creating conversational agents, connecting them to business data, and embedding them in web interfaces.
- Completed Microsoft Copilot Studio training following Microsoft Build 2024
- Built conversational agents and connected them to business data sources
- Embedded chat interfaces into client web applications
Let's work together
I'm open to frontend engineering roles, contract work, and collaborations — especially teams building with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Tell me what you're building and I'll reply within two working days.
